The place

Where the retreats are held

Retreats are held somewhere quiet and unfussy, chosen for what it does not have: no schedule beyond ours, no traffic, no reason to look at screens. The intention is to create spaciousness and here there is space to sit indoors and space to sit outside, and the walk between them is long enough to count as practice.

These are photographs of the grounds and the practice spaces.

Adirondack chairs and a fire pit on the lawn behind the house, under tall trees
Covered deck seating with cushions, looking out into the trees
The dining table laid for a meal, with the kitchen beyond
The living room, with sofa and armchairs around a low table
The open living space looking through to the hallway, with a long bench
A bedroom with botanical wallpaper and a made bed
A second bedroom with two reading chairs by the window

The structure of the retreat and dates are easier to discuss in person.
